The McLaren 570GT is like no other McLaren. With chassis, suspension, steering and styling optimizations, additional luggage compartment and more comfort of the creature, it is the most practical and comfortable McLaren ever.
Maybe it’s just, but I fight to distinguish between McLaren models, but with the 570GT there is an obvious giveaway. Only in the rear part of the panorama glass roof is a glass encryption or a “touring deck”, as McLaren called it.
Open it and it would be exaggerating to call it cavernous, but these additional 220 liters that added the 150 liters under the front bonnet means that the GT is immediately more usable than its siblings, the 570s.
For me, the GT is also more attractive than the more hardcore -s, which still has a carbon fiber chassis, brand -shaped scissors (diklökone), but it has lost the flying button and now seems to be slimmer.
It also uses the same 3.8-liter V8 with two turbochargers such as the 570s, which drives 562 hp and an impressive torque of £ 443.
In other words, the GT has a serious grunt and is quick -inflated and reaches 62 km / h in a dizzying 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 204 km / h. It also sounds great.
Of course, I could only try a fraction of its performance on British roads, but it is one of these rare cars that are as refined or explosive as you want.
The power supply is sent with mighty tires of 285/35/R20 Heck-Pirelli-P-Null via an impressive 7-speed dual clutch manual transmission with a powerful 285/35/R20-Pirelli-P-Zero. At least this is the standard position – there is also the possibility to manually change the equipment manually with paddles behind the steering wheel.
You can also switch between the drive modes – normal, sports and track. To be honest, it is more than enough to leave the GT in normal mode. The suspension is noticeably firmer in sport, while the changes in the engine and the equipment are becoming more aggressive. The track is hardcore and best, uhs, track days.
Driving the GT is therefore more civilized than the 570s. The journey is compliant, the noise levels in the cabin are pleasant and a much more comfortable experience.
However, keep pressing and an animal is unleashed. Yes, yes, but still enough to put a smile on your face. In fact, I would go so far to say that it has extraordinary driving manners on normal roads under normal conditions. We talk about completely secured handling.
Ok, there may not be the visibility of a regular street car, but it can really be driven anywhere – you can even increase the driving level for speed surges if necessary.
The GT also has an engine start-stop system for the additional economy-one premiere on a McLaren. Officially, it is an average of 26.6 MPG, which is not bad for a super sports car, and there is 249 g/km CO2.
The 570GT is made beautiful (it takes 188 men hours and 370 highly qualified employees) and the outstanding, beautiful by the crowd.
Verdict: The McLaren 570GT is clever, luxurious and practical, a adult sports car-but never underestimate the animal below. To mention unnecessarily that I have now added the 570gt of my lottery prize wish list. Bring it.
