The seat may have been a little late to the party when it comes to having an SUV in the area, but the good news is that it was worth the wait.

In the pictures you can see that the ATECA is a look (especially in Samoa Orange). Just like other seats, it is sharp and stylish. You can also get a feeling for the room inside and the feeling of quality.
The interior also seeps the seating. The driver, who is focused at the front, are well laid out the dials and the center console, the seats are comfortable, and of course there is this increased driving position. It is also possible to adapt the interior lighting with your mood with ambient LEDs.
For three passengers and 510 liters of luggage capacity and up to 1,604 liters with the rear seats (485 liters and 1,579 liters for 4Drive versions) there are plenty of space in the back and 510 liters.
My test car was equipped with noble leather seats and many extras, including the 915 £ navigation system and an 8-inch touchscreen (the cheapest ATECA with a 5-inch) and the £ 1,210 Xcellence Pack, which contains Gizmos a top view Camera and an electric tailgate.
Its powerful diesel engine is combined with a smooth 7-speed DSG car drives, which helps this large car in effortless 7.5 seconds (although it appears lively) and helps a top speed of 132 km / h.
It is also economical. On paper it can manage up to 53.3 MPG with CO2 emissions of 135 g/km. The real fuel consumption is closer to a decent 40-45 MPG if my experience is something you can buy.
As with most diesel engines, it is a little bit rugged at first, especially with hard acceleration, but it soon settles and is a refined cruiser without a grunt lack.
What makes this car so special is the way it provides this power and handles. The journey may be a little firm for some over some surfaces, but the traction is fantastic and feels planted while the body role is minimal – remarkable for a car of this height.
With a seating profile, you can also adapt the steering, the gas reaction and gearbox (in automatic cars) with normal, comfort, sports, eco- and individual modes. And of course the all -wheel drive Xcellence off -road and snow modi increases.
Obviously the ATECA is not a Land Rover, but it has a speed. So if you live in an area where you calm down a little more when it becomes difficult, then the 4Drive may be for you.
Even if you never use the off-road settings, the ATECA XCELLENCE 4MOTION is a good trip, regardless of whether you cross on more spirited roads or tackle more sophisticated roads.
To mention unnecessarily that the ATECA can be loaded with as much technology and driver aid aids as you want. My car even came with a connectivity box under the center console, which includes a charger for wireless telephone, two USB connections and a cell phone signal booster via the on-board antenna of the car. It is completely compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay while Mirrorlink enables you to control your phone from the main touchscreen.

Verdict: The seat Ateca Xcellence 4Drive is an impressive, noble package. Spacious, stylish, safe and versatile, it would be difficult to find an SUV with such an entertaining journey for £ 30,000.
