The motors offered (all turbocher loading) include a 1.5-liter petrol with two power outputs (138 or 163 hp), a 1.6-liter diesel (108 or 134 hp), a 167 hp 2.0- Liter diesel and a 2.0-liter petrol with automatic, 256 BHP with automatic automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

After this engine has also tried the 108 -PS -1.6 -Diesel and 167 hp 2.0 diesel, this engine is the sweet spot in the area for me and offers a lot of strength in combination with excellent fuel consumption for such a large car.
Vauxhall quotes 62.8 MPG with low CO2 emissions of 119 g/km, and despite some spirited driving, I easily managed 50+MPG.
With a time of 0-60 miles per hour of 9.9 seconds, but apparent swift and a top speed of 131 km / h, it is also not a slouch.
The refinement of the engine and the smooth progress through the 6-speed switching box was just as impressive. An automatic was not available, but I tried the 8-speed car on the 2.0-liter petrol and it is a good gear.
I am happy in slower traffic and powerful enough to drive on highways with higher speeds. It is a definitive highlight.
The spacious interior is comfortable, well laid out and has a decent 7.0-inch infotainment touchscreen in the center console.

For those who pull a caravan or a trailer, the tow capacity for the sports tourer is up to 2200 kg compared to the original sports tourer.
You get a lot for your money when it comes to equipment. The SRI receives cruise control, automatic lights and windshield wipers, a touchscreen infotainment system with DAB -Radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless entry as well as automatic emergency braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning and Traffic sign recognition technology.
Matrix -LED headlights are available as optional extra and an adaptive speed control, heated front seats / steering wheel / windshield, panoramic drainage and leather seats, to name just a few.
Verdict: The new Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer is a large, good -looking discount that offers added value for money in combination with practicality, comfort and economy. And although it is not a class leader, it is probably the best looker and is now a stronger rival than ever for the Ford Mondeo, Skoda Superb, Kia Optima Sportswagon and VW Passat.
