The new 500x now offers safety support systems. Traffic sign recognition, intelligent speed assistant and Lane Assist are standard, while blind spot alert, adaptive speed control and city brake control (Fiat version of autonomous emergency braking or AEB) are also given.

Last, but last but not least, all versions of the 500-fold are equipped with the latest 7.0-infotainment touchscreen system from Uconnect with Apple CarPlay integration and Android auto-compatibility as the standard.

This upgrade is more than a redesign and brings the new 500 -time bang up to date, but how is it on the street?

The new 1.0-liter petrol turbo “Firefly” turbo may be small, but it is powerful and if you do not regularly have a complete addition to passengers and luggage, it should have more than enough grunts for daily driving.
